Tote Bag - Maryos Syawish

To celebrate Melbourne Art Book Fair 2023, NGV collaborated with Melbourne-based artist Maryos Syawish to create an exclusive range of book-themed products.

Maryos Syawish is an Iraqi/Australian artist based in Naarm/ Melbourne. Unorthodox in approach, his style draws on personal heritage, self-taught graphic design techniques and graffiti influences. Syawish works in a range of mediums including painting and sculpture, using the language of abstraction. His projects notably include his sonic output as Sleep D, and record label Butter Sessions (co-run with Corey Kikos).
