Poster - Olana Janfa, Pop D

This A3 poster features a new artwork by Melbourne-based artist Olana Janfa.

Commissioned by NGV design store, these works by Olana Janfa seek to capture the confidence, swagger and infectious originality of African style. Painted on recycled board using a saturated palette of bold acrylic hues, these works are a homage to the ever-resourceful African approach to creative expression.

Born in Ethiopia, Olana migrated to Norway as a teenager and has lived in Australia since 2015. Known for his uniquely expressive style, bold use of colour and often-humorous narrative captions, Olana works on large-scale mural projects, fashion collaborations, brand identity and book illustrations.
