The sculpture New is inspired from an original Ming dynasty Dehua porcelain Guanyin and covered with a gradation of seven colours. Guanyin is the most venerated divinity in China. Ubiquitous, her blessings are universally spread. She is a general symbol of compassion and a religion readymade.
